In case you missed the bulletin... it's official! Lolly is a giant goofball! At some point in my Live with Prima web cast last Tuesday I actually sung the theme to the Beverly Hillbillies (you can see the recorded version of the webcast HERE...and if you find out where in the webcast that I start singing, don't let me know ok...). I am feeling kinda shy pie about it now... hehehe.
I had the most wonderful time chatting with everyone! I felt like you guys were right there with me! The thing I like best about blogging is meeting people and "talking" with you all over email! To have a TON of you right there chatting live with me was over the top on the cool scale! I STILL bust out a giant SMILE just from thinking about it!!!!
So... guess what?!?!?!
The LollyChops Channel!
I am going to start doing live web casts every other week! Before I can get started I need you guys to answer a question for me... please hang tight till the bottom! I would love your help in getting this kicked off right! If you never want to lay eyeballs on me ever again nor hear me sing another song, I'll totally understand. The banjo isn't for everyone. :D
On to crafts...
That white bib necklace up there is a little something I made for my sister (similar to the teal one I made her a few weeks ago). I think I started something... after the teal one she sweetly asked me to make her a white one and a brown one and a green one and a red one and... you get the idea)! :D
Since I love her so much I guess I'll make a few more for her. They are fun and only take about 15 - 20 minutes to make. Not even kidding! You can learn how to make your own HERE.
I also wanted to share what the back looks like! It's very soft on your skin! Honest to peanuts!!!
Nextly...
I did a little more work on my canvas messenger bag! Check it out!
I cut plain jane vinyl with my Cricut...
...stuck it to the bag...
Dabbed some tealish colored paint over it...
(hello, teal!!!!!)
...and then forgot to take pics in between the next two steps...
YAY LOLLY!
I used some of Donna Downey's new iron-on transfers (get them HERE)...
...and WOW are they dreamy!
I'll be talking more about them in another post!
They are not like normal iron-ons! They are FURRY and utterly FABULOUS!!!
(basically they're furtabulous!!!)
Once I was done with the back, it was time to glue down the ruffles to the front!
I am so excited about how this is coming out!
I was not sure how the ruffles would glue down but they did just fine!
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue (found HERE) and everything is on there good!
I have no fear about those ruffles coming off anytime soon!
I also made some muslin flowers and dyed them with watered down paints and Shimmerz Sprays!
You can learn how to make these flowers by watching the video found in Donna Downey's post HERE...
I used my new Sizzix - Leaves, Plain die (found HERE) and cut canvas and fabric and simply sewed them together!
EASY CHEESEY!
Oh... speaking of cheese...
Over the next several months I am going to be starting a new series of projects called...
"The Altered Cheese Box"!!!!
I use the bottoms of Velveeta Cheese boxes to store ALL kinds of things!
(I even use them as little mini misting boxes too!)
I have a tinsy-winsy addiction to them actually...
We have several blocks of cheese in the pantry that are missing their bottoms...
I pawn off Velveeta cheese dishes on RonChops every chance I get so we can buy another block!
...and have you seen the mini blocks...
!!! HOLEY SMOKES !!!
I can't even share a pic of one here cause you might pass out from the cuteness.
...for reals...
That fella up there is a little sneaky peepy of an altered cheese box that I did for Crate Paper!
I'll have templates so you can cut your very own cheesy panels just right and even an .svg file too!!
(for all you SCAL gals out there)!
Sew... start hoarding your cheese boxes now folks!!!
(and share Velveeta Cheese recipes so we can eat our way into cool craft storage options)!
Lastly...
Do you think you can stand to see me crafting live again?!?!?!
(and next time I promise I won't go over 1.5 hours MAX)
(but I can't not promise banjo playing and signing)
I'd love to share craft projects, tips and product demos with you guys!
ALL. THE. TIME!
So...
The Burning Question...
I need to know what day of the week and time would work best for you!
(make sure you include your time zone too so I can do the conversion)!
Are you a Monday night at 7:30pm CST or a Saturday morning before everyone gets up kind of girl?!?!
I'll pick one day and time and stick with it for a month or two and then we can change it up if need be!
Please leave me a comment with your top two choices and I'll tally them all up and let you know the scoop!
I plan on doing a Sizzix Demo as my first video NEXT WEEK!
EEKS!!!!
(and thanks again to all of you who tuned in to my Live with Prima webcast... I can't wait to see you guys again!)
P.S. I am leaving the recipe book giveaway open one more week! I have not finished the second book yet (so it's not too late to enter)!!!
P.S.S.T. I'll need Ustream moderators too (it's easy)! If you think you might want to do that every now and then, just let me know!
O.M.T. Can you believe how SHORT this post is?!?!?! Is this some sort of record or what?!?!?!
Dearest Lolly, I am IN. All Lolly, all the time. WooHoo. I will take it when I can get it. Alaska time zone means I am earlier than everyone but Hawaii in the good ole' US. and I may try my hand at moderating if you and everyone else can have patience with me.

I'm a Monday night kinda girl...Saturday morning is way too early for me after the joy of watching my boy play Varsity Football Friday night.
I missed the Prima live broadcast, but had a blast watching the recorded version. Spent a very nice morning after watching all the fun.

I loved your ustream show all the way over here in Australia. You did a great job, your evenings work out best for me as they tend to be around lunch the next day here (we are in the future you know lol)just love your passion...*S*
Posted by: Sherie | August 30, 2010 at 05:24 AM
awesoem stuff. I'm thinking I might need to try my hand at one of those bags. I love it. Although I wouldn't be able to do the ruffles because I dont know how to make them but I am sure I could come up with something right?
As far as ustream...woohoooo. I would say Monday at 7:30 which would be 8:30 EST right?

HI Lolly!! I am so excited about the Lolly channel! I am a Monday night kind of girl. it's the beginning of the week and need something fun to kick it off!! I don't know how to be a moderator, but if you need me I am here for you.
Your bag is gorgeous and so is the necklace. Love them both. Gotta go to the store today and get me a cheese box and a Sissix so I can be ready for the next episode!
(Which model Sissix do you recommend??)
Lots of hugs to you!
Edith xoxo

I only watch American Idol, when it is in season. So, as long as you don't conflict with that, I be watching Lolly channel!

Your video cracked me up! You are an awesome banjo player, lol! Cute recipe book!
Posted by: Megan | August 30, 2010 at 08:25 AM
In general, I like weekday classes best. 7 or 7:30 is a pretty good time to start.
By the way, I just love your blog. You totally crack me up. I'm so happy you'll be doing the shows. And, you're practically my neighbor which makes me like everything you do even more (like you're my hometown hero or something)
Posted by: Aimee | August 30, 2010 at 08:41 AM
OK I seriously squeeled out loud when I read you were going to have a Lolly Channel! yay! can't get enough of Lolly LIVE!!!
I'm pretty easy goin' on the day of the week, So if the overall opinion is Monday, than I'm all for it. I'm in the eastern time zone and around 9 ish would be great since my kiddos will already be in bed.
I absolutely would love to help be a moderator whenever you need me.
Oh and I definitely think you should have an opening theme song (even if it's just a few banjo pickin' licks)
BIG HUGS!
Kristina aka I_SKRAP
P.S. Thanks for making my morning, heck my day, possibly my week!

Mondays are WAY better that weekends for me!

That new hug bag is beautiful Lolly!

That's so cool! Good for you! Mondays are great! Glad I found you via the Prima Live channel.
Posted by: Maria Levine | August 30, 2010 at 09:18 AM
Hi Lolly! I'm for Mondays too - what a great way to start the week. Love how the bag has turned out and really liking the flower necklaces too.
Posted by: margie davidson | August 30, 2010 at 09:24 AM
Okay, I am more of a monday morning when I am not working kind of girl, or anytime I remember. I like the flex thing so I don't have to watch live. I hate the back chat with Sharon and Woosie, I tried to watch the necklace thing but Marion yakked for 15 minutes about the other girls and put on lip gloss!! and I DO NOT WANT TO WATCH THAT! I don't even know any of them.
So: I watched 18 minutes, and as much as I love you, you gots to shorten it up. That's the most I could take. I can write you a whole book about what to cut out, but that's me being bossy. Still I think the average crafter wants her craft in 20-30 min total.
Love the Lolly channel. Don't give away all your secrets. I am going to do a giveaway but first, a tease. I only have 3 followers, so I have to get more to have a fair giveaway. You are my role model. Look how fast you have progressed to doing live online crafts!Yea! Lolly! P.S. tell Prima that brooch is spelled like I just did. They said broche which is not brioche, which is a delicious french roll.
All hugs, sorry I was not "live" with you.

I'm voting for Monday night. I'm not a morning lady. ugh. I didn't hear you sing Lolly - and I wants to - cause I'll sing with ya. I could try to help moderate - but I'm totally clueless right now about it.
Posted by: Sandy L | August 30, 2010 at 09:45 AM
Looks like Monday is winning :) Whatever works for everyone!!! 7:30 or 8 pm would be great, CST! Love the bag and I can't wait to see the cheese boxes!!!!
Posted by: Daniela | August 30, 2010 at 09:55 AM
OK I cannot believe I forgot to mention how absolutely gorgeous that bag is!!!
Posted by: I_SKRAP | August 30, 2010 at 10:11 AM
I'm in class Monday nights, but will definitely watch the next day!! This is so exciting!!
Posted by: Tiffany | August 30, 2010 at 10:17 AM
LOVED your show! Awesome job! Loved the song too. What a way to start!
Love your bag!!!!!
Tuesdays would be great for your show. So happy for you! Mondays I have school :( Would I be able to watch a recorded version if you pick a night I have school?
Happy for you!

Do you know how much I love my Big Shot?
OMG!!! So much. I would totally marry it.
I probably spend more time with it than my husband as it is.
=)

Congratulations on your videos!
I wanted to share my horrible redneck Velveeta snack: cheese filled biscuits. Take a can of biscuit dough and fold each biscuit around a 1" cube of Velveeta, then bake according to the directions on the can or deep-fry. Add bacon or sausage and it's breakfast!
Posted by: Kara | August 30, 2010 at 10:29 AM
This is so awesome. I just love your blog. I missed the last show...i forgot UGH. MONDAY nights are great. We don't do much football around here but the guys have boy scouts so that will be perfect timing!
Posted by: Jenni G. | August 30, 2010 at 10:47 AM
I can't wait to watch Lolly-vision! But you don't really eat the Velveeta, do you? My mom used to do this incredible queso dip for parties where she melted the cheese in a fondu pot and added chopped jalepeno peppers. It seemed oh so chi chi in the '70s but now you can get it at any little league field in the country, lol. As far as when I would MOST love to see you on the big screen; how about we spread the craft goodness around the week and pick something other than "Inspiration Wednesdays" Donna Downey and "Taco Tuesdays" with those Ten Second Studios nuts?

oh MEAN!!! Mean Mean Chops! I can't watch this at work except in bits and pieces... I am so super excited to see it!!! you look so cute btw... um, and please send that bag to me when you get a chance, thanks :) oh, you mean your not just giving it away to me? Dang!
More news to come when I get to watch it, I do like the begining thou, very good start..

O.M.G., Lolly - that bag is over-the-top adorable!! I love your Monday morning posts; today I laughed out loud (and we all need that on a Monday morning!!!). Thanks for sharing the loveliness that is you with us!
Posted by: Michele | August 30, 2010 at 11:14 AM
Very intrigued by the cheese boxes! Here's my Velveeta fave which I affectionately call trailer trash dip: melt a block of V, dump in a can of Rotel and a package of frozen creamed spinach (thawed). Stir it up and serve with tortilla chips - the scoops are best! I can't get frozen creamed spinach here in Canada so I just use the regular kind, which I drain first (not sure if you'd drain the creamed kind - sorry). I can't get Rotel here either, but I stock up when I'm stateside. Love Kara'a redneck snack - gonna try that!
Best video times for me: Monday 7:30 pm EST, or early Saturday morning.
Posted by: Keitha | August 30, 2010 at 11:46 AM
OK, I vote for Monday night too! I love me some football, but they put it on cable, and guess who does not have cable or dish or anything else but regular TV! WHAT? AM I the only one in the world without cable? Sigh, oh well, guess I'll just have to watch LollyVision! hehehehehehe More crafts! More crafts! More crafts!
Posted by: MomChops | August 30, 2010 at 11:46 AM
Hi Lolly! Given a choice I would pick Monday night but I'll make Saturday morning work if need be!! I can't wait til you get started!! What would a Ustream Moderator need to do? I could give that a try if it's not too hard. I love Velveeta cheese! Always have! It won't be a problem around here to turn up those boxes!
Posted by: Dot | August 30, 2010 at 11:56 AM
Just love your giveaways!!!! Always so bright and creative!!
For a time and day of the week...Monday days are out, as are the weekends for me. Very excited that you are doing these. I am in same time zone as you are.
Posted by: Pam | August 30, 2010 at 12:03 PM
I vote for Monday too. The kiddos are in bed early for school and the hubby is eyeballs deep in his video games. I'm so excited to look forward to something just for me to enjoy. :) Well, kinda since most of the things I learn from you go to my family but you know what I mean. ;)
Posted by: Genevieve | August 30, 2010 at 12:05 PM
How exciting Lolly!!!!! Can't wait for your own channel - woot! Monday eves work great for me as well!
Posted by: Tracy Loring | August 30, 2010 at 12:47 PM
I really don't have a great time (3 boys ... work full time - I am lucky I get to sleep ANY).
But after 8 pm EST is the BEST for me.
And congrats!
